We are hiring: Campaign Manager!


Position: Campaign Manager – Sue AnderBois for RI Lieutenant Governor


Sue AnderBois is running for Lt. Governor of Rhode Island, with a Democratic primary September 8, 2026.  She is a current City Councilor in Providence, RI. This is an exciting time to help elect a progressive woman to statewide office, who has a real track record of working collaboratively to achieve big, systems-level policy change.  Sue’s background has included (but isn’t limited to) climate & clean energy policy, municipal resilience, local food systems, and transportation and transit policy.


The Campaign Manager will play a pivotal role in not only the day-to-day functions of the campaign, but also in the overall strategy.  The campaign manager would help maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere – ensuring that consultants, contractors, volunteers, and all Rhode Islanders are treated with the respect that they deserve and that is reflective of how Sue operates.


Duration & Compensation:


This is a limited time position, initially through the primary in September 2026.

(Option to extend, dependent on the outcome of the primary).


Compensation is negotiable, dependent on experience.  Sue is dedicated to workers rights and ensuring all campaign staff and vendors are paid a fair, livable wage.


Responsibilities may  include (but may not be limited to):

·         Candidate Management: Help manage the candidates time by scheduling things like canvassing, call-time, meetings with relevant community organizations, etc.

·         Staff and Contractor Management:  Help manage any additional staff, consultants, and contractors who are part of the Campaign Team.  This could include: fundraising consultant, print and media consultants, field organizers and volunteers, among others. This might also include assistance scheduling meetings with the Kitchen Cabinet of volunteers.

·         Fundraising:  In partnership with fundraising consultant, potential to assist in call-time & follow up, assist with scheduling and follow up house parties and fundraisers

·         Volunteer Recruitment and Management:  Starting with candidates contacts and expanding through local organizations and event attendees – recruit, train, and manage volunteers. Assign relevant tasks.

·         Communications:  Work as part of the core team with consultants and contractors on strategy and messaging via social media, emails, video, and print media. Help manage consultants and ensure they are paid on time.

·         Field Planning and Execution: Help manage field volunteers and work alongside candidate and core team to develop and execute field campaign that connects us to relevant voters in all 39 cities and towns.

  

Qualifications:

·         Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

·         Excellent time management and ability to project manage and meet deadlines

·         Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Experience working effectively and tactfully with members of the public and elected officials

·         Successful experience in organizing – flexible on type of campaign (electoral, policy-focused, issue-based campaign, community-based organization, etc).

·         Experience on statewide level issues

·         Ideally experience on political campaigns, in paid or voluntary capacities
