Friends & Neighbors,
It has been such an honor to represent Ward 3 on the Providence City Council.
As I hope you know - I have been hustling hard during my time on Council.
A small sample of my work includes - leading the unanimous passage of the building energy reporting ordinance, as well as an ordinance requiring all municipal buildings to be carbon neutral by 2040. I led the City's Commitment to Vision Zero - and increased capacity/focus on pedestrian and bike safety. I worked hard to ensure the City's Comprehensive Plan update was informed by our communities' priorities and held several public meetings to inform my edits.
One of my biggest priorities is the City's Finances and have actively served on the Finance committee and participated in the transparent and through budget process for the last two years.
I'm also an active member of the Parks Commission, and lead not only the North Main Street Task Force but also the Special Committee on Environment and Resiliency --- and have also directed well over a million dollars of investment in infrastructure in Ward 3 in these first two years (including about $500K in lighting upgrades to north main to be installed this spring).
In these times, state and local government is increasingly important. It would be my honor to continue to serve. I would love to invite you to my spring fundraiser -- see details below.
If you are unable to attend, but would still like to support my campaign, donations can be made either via this Actblue link or by mailing a check to Friends of Sue AnderBois to 166 5th St, Providence, RI 02906.
Thank you!
